Description

In December 2025, CM Space were thrilled to design and deliver a two-day Facilitation and Co-creation training focusing on regenerative practice as a basis for participatory engagement, with the Sustainability Team at Elliott Wood in London.

Elliott Wood are best known for engineering a better society and their passion for leading innovation and change in the built environment is second to none. However, as an organisation they realise that this is by no means a solo endeavour.

This is why when Ben Holmes, Associate Director and Head of Sustainability at Elliott Wood, connected with Ciara Moynihan of CM Space, there was a clear alignment between CM Space’s stakeholder engagement methods and the Sustainability Team’s drive to create regenerative outcomes with their clients.

The training was designed to:

Hosted at The Society Building, home to myriad inspirational organisations and people, it was the perfect place to dive into regenerative design thinking; embodying change and emergence; and how we create space for transforming mindsets.

Sharing a versatile mix of practical examples, case studies, regenerative design frameworks, play and restorative practice; the team fully engaged and let the questions lead them to new insights, commitments, and directions in their work.

Ben Holmes, Associate Director of Sustainability, was delighted and shared that:
“The Co-creation and Facilitation training helped us to understand the distinction between a consultant who brings answers and a facilitator who helps a client find their own. We’re using the frameworks Ciara introduced to understand our clients’ needs more clearly and to improve how we structure our engagements. We’re still learning to hold all of this in practice, but we came away with a shared language and a different sense of what we’re trying to create when we’re in a room with a client or project team.”

CM Space are thrilled to have supported the Sustainability Team at Elliott Wood, as an organisation leading the paradigm shift within the built environment in the UK from sustainability to regenerative design.
